Our Sessions
Grounded, practical sessions for young people, individuals, groups and organisations, held within a space of safety, choice and the quiet support of the herd.
How our sessions work
There are different ways to experience The Noble Herd, depending on what you need, who the support is for, and where you are starting from.
We offer practical, non-ridden sessions with horses for young people, individuals, families, groups, schools and organisations. Sessions are gentle, carefully paced and grounded in real experience, with no pressure to perform, explain yourself or get anything “right”. We create space to slow down, notice what is happening in the moment, and explore how you relate to yourself, to others and to the world around you.
Through this work, people can begin to build confidence, self-awareness, clearer communication, stronger boundaries, emotional regulation and a deeper sense of connection.
A session might involve quiet observation of the herd, simple grounding practices, noticing breath and body language, guided exercises with a horse at liberty, or time simply being present in the field.
The horses offer honest feedback without judgement. They respond to what is happening in the moment, in our energy, posture, breath and presence, which can help make patterns clearer and learning easier to take into everyday life.
You may arrive with a clear intention, or simply a sense that something needs to shift.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
The Noble Herd is based on our farm in Hertfordshire, and we also offer equine facilitated sessions at Chigwell Riding Trust in Essex every Monday, with group sessions launching soon. Get in touch to find out more about either location.
Sessions
Young People
No pressure. No performance. Just space to breathe.
Some young people find it hard to put how they feel into words. Others are carrying things that talking alone can’t quite reach. Our sessions are gentle, practical and completely judgement free, using simple somatic tools that young people can actually take into everyday life.
The herd has a way of cutting through where words don’t.
Through spending time with the horses, young people begin to notice what’s happening in themselves, how they feel, how they respond, and what helps them feel more settled and in control. Over time, this can build confidence, self-awareness and a stronger sense of self.
All sessions are groundwork based, no riding involved. Young people might observe the herd from a distance, spend quiet time with one horse, learn simple care and handling skills, or work on practical and relational skills through looking after the horses together. The horses respond to what’s actually happening, not what someone says about themselves.
We offer one to one sessions and group programmes including six and ten week blocks, working with schools and Alternative Provision. Sessions are trauma-informed and carefully paced. No horse experience is needed, the herd doesn’t judge and neither do we.

Individuals & Families
For anyone who knows something needs to shift.
Whether you’re navigating a difficult period, feeling disconnected, or simply carrying more than you can comfortably hold, our one to one sessions offer a quiet, practical space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
We also work with families who want calmer communication and stronger connection. Sometimes it helps to step outside the usual environment and find new ways of being together, the herd has a way of making that possible without anyone having to perform or get anything right.
Sessions are trauma-informed, gently paced and grounded in body-based practice. No horse experience needed, come as you are.
Organisations & Leadership
Real leadership starts on the inside
We offer bespoke wellbeing and leadership sessions for teams and organisations, using the herd as a uniquely honest environment to explore presence, communication, trust and boundaries.
Horses respond to what’s actually happening rather than what’s being performed which makes the learning immediate, practical and surprisingly hard to ignore. There’s no hiding behind a role or a title in a field with a horse.
Sessions can be tailored for corporate wellbeing days, leadership development or team building with genuine depth. We’d love to talk about what might work for your organisation.

Horse Owners
Finding your way back to each other, gently.
If you’ve lost confidence around horses, maybe after an accident, a difficult experience, or simply over time, you’re not alone. Many horse owners carry anxiety they don’t quite have words for, and that anxiety has a way of showing up in the relationship with their horse before they’ve even realised it.
We offer somatic, body-based support to help you understand what’s happening inside you around horses, and to rebuild trust at a pace that feels genuinely safe. The work is practical, consent-led and shaped by lived experience.
No riding involved. No judgement. Just a quiet, honest space to find your way back.
Testimonials
Our company booked a day retreat to work with the horses and to learn more about how our team work together. Really insightful and look forward to returning again soon!
I have been struggling with my confidence and anxiety, working with Kate and the herd has helped me to understand how to self regulate to have a safer connection with myself and my horse.
